Meet Mrs. Arredondo
Dear Parents,
Hello, my name is Lucia Arredondo. I am very excited to be a part of the Blossom Hill team and to work with you and your student this upcoming year. I am looking forward to many great learning experiences with the students of K-2 and I can’t wait to see your children’s minds at work.
A Little about Me: I grew up locally and benefited from the excellent education this school district offers. I attended college at the University of Delaware, where I majored in Mass Communication. I traveled quite a bit post graduation, and luckily found my passion to teach during my adventures. While traveling in South Asia, I earned a certificate that allowed me to teach English abroad. From the moment I got up to do my first lesson, I was hooked, and I have not looked back since. Upon returning to the states, I decided to earn my Teaching Credential and keep my passion alive. I began my credential at San Jose State in 2007. It has taken me a little longer to get my credential, because I got side tracked having my two beautiful daughters. I have been pleased that my education at SJSU has focused so much on the aspects of education I hold dear (e.g. differentiated instructions, reading and writing workshops, and mathematical conceptual understanding).
My goals as an educator are to contribute to all aspects of a child’s development (e.g. academic, emotional, physical and social) and give him or her the academic skills and challenges that lead to self-confidences and excellence. Your child will grow and mature through a continual process of inquiry, peer collaboration, and experience. I believe we are a team whose cooperation is a vital part of your student’s success.
Please feel to contact me with all concerns, comments, and questions. The best way to reach me is through email. [email protected] I truly look forward to working with you and your child.
Sincerely,
Lucia Arredondo
